LDC has named Open ECX CEO Nathan Ollier as One to Watch in The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2026, a programme it runs in partnership with The Times.
This year the programme pulled in more than 620 nominations from across the UK. The leaders who made the cut aren't being celebrated for past performance alone, they're being recognised for what they're building next: businesses expanding into new markets, investing in people, and genuinely changing how their industries work. Between them, this year's cohort generates £1.4bn in annual revenue and employs almost 8,500 people across 55 towns and cities.
Nathan's inclusion reflects where Open ECX is right now. The company connects 17,000+ businesses, and revenue has increased significantly under Nathan’s watch. That growth puts Open ECX in a strong position to lead conversations as the UK prepares for its 2029 e-invoicing mandate.
But ask Nathan what he's proudest of, and the conversation doesn't stay on revenue for long. It goes somewhere more personal.
