Open ECX and NMBS, the number one buying society for independent merchants in the UK, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing NMBS members’ eTrading capabilities through innovative AP automation and sales order solutions.
Since 2019, NMBS and Open ECX have collaborated on NMBS OnePlace, a PIM and B2B platform built and powered by Open ECX technology. The success of this collaboration has prompted the expansion of the partnership to revolutionise how NMBS members handle their financial transactions, providing them with the solutions needed to achieve seamless integration and automation within their systems.
Over 30 NMBS members are existing customers of Open ECX, benefitting from a range of solutions including electronic invoicing and sales order processing. A significant volume of transactions is
processed through Open ECX, exceeding 500,000 annually, for companies such as Bradford Building Supplies, Encon Insulation, JT Atkinson and Howarth Timber.
A key highlight of the partnership is the launch of the Open ECX's Statement Reconciliation is designed to streamline and transform the reconciliation process, offering NMBS and their members a reliable and efficient tool for managing their financial statements.
In addition, the collaboration addresses the critical aspects of sales orders and GRN receipting, enhancing end-to-end visibility and control for members. This integrated approach ensures that the transaction lifecycle, from processing sales orders automatically to goods receipting, is streamlined for efficiency and accuracy.
